This Insert announcement ad for Honda's premier touring bike caused all the bikes to be presold with no available product for the dealer showroom. We then were charged with creating a life-sized standee for dealers to promote and take additional ordersThis standee, embossed and enormous also featured an engine roar chip as customers approached. This standee also won an award for excellence in design and print production.

E.T. Universal Studios Attraction Poster

This poster, with its point of view perspective, beckons the onlooker to join the ride past the earthly setting of the movies to voyage to the home of E.T. Collaborating with Drew Struzan, movie poster illustrator, we arrived at a this key art visual used across all media for promotion of the attraction. This poster once sold for under $10, is now offered on Ebay occasionally for $100.

Posters promote summer travel with the protection of AAA insurance. Strategy was to appeal to AAA Members and travelers to Utah, Southern California and The San Francisco Bay Area to take off for these destinations with confidence and peace of mind.

Promotional giveaway of an appealing duffel bag for summer travel is featured to drive customers to local AAA branches for an insurance quote on home, life and auto insurance.

This poster design advertises an interesting cultural phenomena--that of Japanese fascination with American bluegrass music. Advertising a concert of a touring Japanese Blue Grass Band, this poster marries the main instrument of the band with its namesake mythological creature--Nessie.

Levi Strauss Print Insert / Consumer Retail

This Levi's insert was designed to combat the perception that Levi's wasn't for teens but for their parents. We gave college students the assignment to video their friends talking about Levi's to get insight into this demo. The result was creating this campaign of an Ambassador of Sound, a young charismatic character who would evangelize music and the Levi's project. Giveaway insert includes a fold out poster and contest to win Levi's products and a musical CD giveaway.

This campaign for a fund raising event at the Museum presents the needs of the museum in a Hemmingway-esque mode in a tribute to the Museum's highly exhibited native son. Done in spoof 'Ernest' we contrast museum fundraising needs with Hemmingway titles. The posters were designed to be hung throughout the Museum to raise awareness in a fun, engaging and relevant voice.

All non-Hemmingway titles and copy was also authored my me.

These boards address the issue of excessive mergers in that area (up to seven in ten years) and stresses (through invented consumer maladies) the reliability and continuity of Cigna in an ever-fluctuating, tumultuous, regional marketing area.

Los Angeles Recycling Campaign--Pro bono

Part of a 4 stage outdoor 'spectacular' series appearing on Sunset Blvd and in other location. I supervised the photo shoot of funky LA-style garbage that was accumulated through requesting objects of interest from FCB employees. The messages on the boards changed every two weeks with the first stage reading 'The Reasons for Recycling are Increasing Every Day'  with a few stacks of newspapers and a palm tree inflatable. With every board posting the garbage mounts obscuring parts of the message. Stage 2, simply reads 'The Reasons for Recycling Are Increasing' (with the tagline) and the third stage with every growing trash, simply states the obvious; 'The Reasons For Recycling'. This last stage featured totally obscures the message and simply offers a common sense solution.

Large Signage posters designed for San Jose International to direct airline passengers toand inform them about the many concessions
available at the airport. Using the planes as a directional arrow these
posters guided travelers to desired destinations before boarding any planes.

Two outdoor campaigns for Universal Studios Theme Parks Florida and Hollywood. At top is an outdoor board teasing the opening of a new attraction in Florida for the King Kong multi-million dollar ride. The chains and billowing material garnered press and stay tuned interest for the 3-D Cinnabar outdoor board that took its place upon the attraction opening.

The 'Earthquake' board (opened years after remake of original movie), featured a moving Richter Scale needle on freeway exit on Universal property in Hollywood.

Family Jewels Gaming Website

This gaming site offered a new take on an advertising model taking players through websites and searching for clues to a monthly puzzle. The winner of our monthly puzzle won a cool 15 grand and was engaged in our story line of Raider's Ark-like intrigue, mystery, Egyptian symbolism and a down-on-his-luck major baseball protagonist. Client sites and sponsors included Universal and Sony.

For this 6 month long project, I acted as Creative Director (and designer)-- for all visual and story line elements as well as branding, logos, illustration and story board illustration, teaser print ads directed to college students, apparel giveaways, oversight of developers and more.

This site garnered a 5 out of 5 for design from Web Magazine.

This page represents branding for a new online dating site, Magical Matches, that wanted to challenge traditional online sites as a game-changer. The premise (and promise) is that Magical Matches goes deeper in the dating pool to find soul mates not online matches.

Other elements included event marketing for new product launch to be staged in Union Square, logos, street banners, outdoor etc.

Website Design for Seriluna Direct Sales Site. Strategy included showing beautiful, relaxing spa-like visuals entreating potential sales agents and clients to 'Spa someone you love'. The assignment here was to create branding for this direct sales company (utilizing existing logo) to attract a younger and more stylish demographic to join the Seriluna team in an Avon-like business model.

Strategy on this website design project involved appealing to mature women in a holistic manner with great anti-aging products and healing 'affirmacizes' to boost moral and confidence-a beauty booster.

I wrote the copy on these pages, designed and art-directed the visuals and branding elements such as the logo, affirmative decals for mirror placement and product packaging.

Challenge here was to create a clean, simple branding for this co-branded water filtration client.  Attempting to simply appeal to a growing human concern and streamlined aesthetic, this project simply demanded a fresh, clean approach to their company voice and visual approach that reflected the purity of their product.

Rebrand including logo, letterhead and business cards, work apparel for team members in the field, website design (in process) and brochure.

American Eagle Outfitters / Visa / WaMu/ Affinity Programs

One example of the many assignments for Washington Mutual and GE money that represented co-branded integrated marketing for affinity card programs with Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Challenge was to pitch new partners (here fashion conglomerate) alongside financial partners creating credit card program elements including designs, new pitch marketing materials and consumer materials such as brochures, posters, integrated marketing/direct mail, banners, giveaways, etc.

Catering to an upscale market this proposed package and logo pays homage to the small silk manufacturers of the sheets. In both instances, the simple upscale black box contrasts with the luxurious silk fabric visible through the die cut design on the front.

Proposed packaging includes a frosted jar with window in logo to see brilliant blue hylaronic capsules as part of the design. Small jar nests in a shelf inside box for a greater shelf presence.
